you don't know what you have 'til it's gone

or do you?

I used to believe in this saying.  I felt like at times I do take advantage of situations and people without realizing how lucky I was to experience these treasures.

But then I thought about it a little more.  It turns out I did know what was going on.  I did know who I had in my life.  I was well aware of all these life-presents that were before me.

So if you are one of these people who truly fall into that category of not knowing what you have until it's gone, I suggest you reevaluate EVERYTHING because things can change soooooo fast.

That saying is BS! We know what we want, we just don't ever expect it to be gone.

  1. All about taking it for granted. That's why I spread the love when and wherever I can to try and let people know how I appreciate them for letting me be a part of their lives.

  2. i used to take things for granted but once i lost it all i realize now what i have and i hold onto every moment like it was my last. much happier this way, those you don't realize what they have will only fall harder once it's gone. nothing lasts

  4. It's a shame that great things do fall away quite soon when you're so sure of your security

  7. well i seem to do the opposite, i see the value of even the smallest happenstance and live life clinging to everything, knowing one day it will vanish and there will be one less thing i value in this world. sometimes i wish i didnt know the boundaries of the world, the sad fact that eventually everything dies, or fades, but just because you know that fact dosent mean that its not worth it to experience love and connections to things, it just makes you have to value you them to the fullest cause you wont always have them. =D
